How to Join the ASAA
Joining the ASAA gives you access to:
- Aero Brush, a quarterly color magazine that keeps you informed of upcoming events, tips and tutorials from the premier aviation artists in ASAA, and other ASAA related information.
- The Members Forum, a web based bulleting board (blog) that is maintained by the premier aviation artists in the ASAA.
- Step-by-step tutorials on all aspects of an aviation art.
- Video tutorials on on all aspects of an aviation art from various members.
- The "New Work" area where members submit work in progress and open it up for comments from members.
Types of Membership
Artist Fellow Members shall be artists whose aviation/aerospace art is widely recognized for its consistent high standards of professionalism, authenticity, and artistic quality as recognized by the membership committee.
Artist Members shall be artists whose aviation/aerospace art qualifies them for membership in the artist category as recognized by the membership committee.
Foreign Affiliate Artist Fellow or Artist Member shall be an artist residing outside the United States, whose aviation/aerospace art meets the criteria for Artist Fellow or Artist Member as stipulated above.
Associate may be a friend, student, member of an institution (i.e., company, gallery, publishing house, museum or library) who supports and participates in ASAA activities. An Associate may exhibit such support by providing/funding an award for an exhibition or providing a grant or scholarship.
It is expected that the applicant will apply for membership in the category most appropriate to his/her work. The final decision will rest with the membership committee for Artist Fellow and Artist membership. If you do not receive membership in the category you are expecting, you may join the Society in the recommended category and then, after 12 months, apply for a review of your membership classification.
