Colin E. Bowley, lives on Vancouver Island British Columbia, Canada. Educated in England, he attended the Worthing College of Art and the Brighton Institute in Sussex. Enlisting in the Air Force in 1946 he served for 6 years in Africa, the Middle East and England. Returning to civilian life he worked as a Commercial Artist in Toronto. In 1958 he joined the Avro Aircraft Company as a Technical Artist and worked on the Avro Arrow Program. In 1973 he started his own Commercial Art business and for a number of years was in the operation of a large flying school in Ontario. He held a Commercial Pilots License, owned several aircraft and logged thousands of hours over the years. He retired in 1995 and now paints full-time. He has received many awards at juried art shows and has work in private, public and corporate collections.
