Seymour Binder has been involved in art for
most of his life. He had just started painting aircraft subjects when he was
called into the Army. His painting was halted while he was based at White Sands
Proving Ground, New Mexico and Fort Bliss, Texas. There he worked on V-2 rockets
where he met and worked with Werner Von Braun. After being honorably discharged
from the Army, he again began painting. Seymour has been a member of ASAA since
1994. In 1998 he won an honorable mention in the EAA Aviation Art Show and took
a third place in the general aviation category in the ASAA Forum 2000 in Fort
Worth, Texas.
